WEST HAVEN, CT-The former Elm City Door Co. building at 163 Orange Ave. here has a new owner--Westrock Development LLC of Yonkers, NY. The firm, which plans to undertake a major renovation of the building, has already signed Family Dollar as a tenant for some retail space at the property. No purchase price was disclosed for the building that sits on three acres. It totals 56,000 sf and has been vacant for several years.

Westrock Development, in conjunction with Koenig Management of New City, NY, has purchased the 45,000-square-foot Patriot Square mall in Stony Point, NY. This marks Westrock Development’s first acquisition in Rockland County. Since its founding in 2001, the four partners in Westrock Development, a real estate investment company based in Westchester, have invested $15 million to purchase six properties with more than 300,000 sf of space in New York and Connecticut.

Fishkill, NY - The former Ames shopping center, as it is currently known, is a 120,000 s/f shopping center on Rte. 52 that is set to be redeveloped by Westrock Development of Yonkers. The center is compromised of a Bank of New York standalone pad, a 40,000 s/f strip of stores which includes a Sears appliance center, and a 67,500 s/f standalone building that formerly housed an Ames department store.

Danbury, CT - A Yonkers-based real estate investment and development company bought an industrial building at 82 Mill Plain Road for $1.7 million. The company called the acquisition a good investment at a good price. The 50,000-square-foot building is about 80 percent occupied, and with some renovations it can be filled, said Michael Friedland, a co-founder and partner in Westrock Development
