Jason L. Friedland

Jason Friedland is the managing partner and co-founder of Westrock Development. Jason spearheads the acquisition, financing, development, leasing and management of Westrock's real estate investments.

In addition to his work at Westrock Development, Jason is also President and co-owner of Shleppers Moving & Storage. Shleppers is one of the largest moving companies in New York City and the entire New York Tri State area. Shleppers handles residential and commercial moves and ships across the country.

Before coming to Westrock, Jason was Vice President of Property Acquisitions for the Kushner Companies, a large privately held real estate company which, at the time of his employment, owned and managed more than 24,000 apartments and over six million square feet of commercial space. Prior to that, he was an investment banker at Bear, Stearns & Co. Inc for five years. At Bear Stearns, Jason executed numerous mergers and acquisitions as well as several high yield bond offerings and initial public offerings. These transactions were in industries that ranged from high tech telecommunications and genomics to real estate investment trusts and building products manufacturers.

Jason holds an MBA from Columbia Business School in Manhattan and graduated with honors from Tufts University with degrees in international relations and economics. He also studied finance at the London School of Economics. Currently, Jason is a member of the Young Presidents Organization and is involved in several philanthropic organizations. He lives in New Rochelle with his wife Jackie and three young boys.
